Scotweb’s MD, Dr Nicholas J Fiddes, has written a free illustrated e-book, as a gift to help kilt lovers everywhere. In simple non-technical language it covers every aspect of buying a kilt, choosing your tartan, and accessorising an outfit for every occasion.
As a Governor of the Scottish Tartans Authority, and founder of the world’s first company to market kilts on the Internet (yes, Scotweb) no one is better qualified to offer such advice. Impartial and objective, this is a personal work and is not a Scotweb publication.
This dresses up my 5 and 8 Yard Kilts terrifically. I've received many compliments on it.

Splendid buckle with a nice non-flashy finish.

I just love this buckle. I have always been a lion and rampart fan over the saltire. This buckle is what I think the Scottish flag should look like, with color of course. Great construction and quality metal work.

The front plate of this buckle is stamped (not cast) so it's quite thin, and the belt bar and hook are welded on to the back. The antique finish is to the front face only. The belt bar is slightly narrow for a 2.25 inch kilt belt, though a standard 2-inch belt to fit through. Nice item overall.

The front plate of this buckle is stamped (not cast) so it's quite thin, and the belt bar and hook are welded on to the back.
The black finish is enamelled, and looks smart (especially when co-ordinated with the matching sporran).
The belt bar is slightly narrow for a standard 2-inch belt to fit through.
Nice item overall.
